Mucho Macho Man Yearling Colt Tops Iowa Sale


A yearling colt from the second crop of Mucho Macho Man was sold for $50,000 to top the Iowa Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association's Fall Sale Sept. 30 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Iowa.

Consigned as Hip 35 by Madison County Thoroughbreds, agent for Big Pine, the Iowa-bred colt was purchased in the name of Can Do III. The March 5, 2017, foal is out of Amply Rewarded, a Grand Slam mare who won 11 races from ages 3 to 7 while earning $158,356. Second dam Kibitzing is the granddam of British group 3 winner Distinctive (GB) and is from the female family of grade 3 winner Marshua's River.
