Hip #282, a colt from the first crop by Breeders' Cup Classic hero MUCHO MACHO MAN, was hammered down for $575,000 at the OBS March Two-Year-Old in Training sale. The price was the third-highest paid for a colt and the highest bid for any progeny by a first year sire during the March 13 opening session.
Out of the Cherokee Run mare Dusty Rose, the speedy bay was consigned by Richardson Bloodstock. During the March 9 breeze show he zipped a quarter mile in :20.4. Only seven juveniles posted faster breezes at that distance during the three OBS March breeze sessions. He will race in the colors of Larry Best's OXO Equine, LLC.
