TAX gives Turbo Charged Performance in Withers Stakes

Victory Earns TAX 10 points on the Road to the Kentucky Derby

TAX (KY) ( ARCH - TOLL BY GIANT'S CAUSEWAY ) moved into the #8 position on the Kentucky Derby Leaderboard with his rousing performance in the Withers Stakes (Gr.3) at Aqueduct racetrack in New York. The victory brought his point total to 12 points, after finishing third in his first stakes try in the Remsen Stakes (Gr.2) in December.

After stumbling at the start, TAX stalked the leaders from the inside as Junior Alvarado patiently waited for an opening on the rail and made a powerful move to take the lead and hold off Not That Brady and Our Braintrust for the victory.

TAX is owned by R.A. Hill Stables, Reeves Thoroughbred Racing, Corms Racing and Hugh Lynch and trained by Danny Gargan.
