R.A. HILL STABLE & REEVES THOROUGHBRED RACING ACQUIRE INTEREST IN CHANNEL MAKER


Atlanta, GA. (October 12, 2018) ‒ R.A. Hill Stable & Reeves Thoroughbred Racing are excited to announce their partnership with Wachtel Stable and Gary Barber after purchasing an interest in Breeders’ Cup bound CHANNEL MAKER (ON) TB, CH, G, (ENGLISH CHANNEL - IN RETURN, BY HORSE CHESTNUT (SAF))

CHANNEL MAKER, trained by Bill Mott, stamped his ticket to the Breeders’ Cup Longines Turf with his career best performance in Joe Hirsch Turf Classic Stakes (Gr.1) at Belmont Park on 9/29/18, a Breeders’ Cup WIN AND YOU’RE IN race.

The 4-year old gelding with career earnings of over one million dollars is peaking at the right time after a rousing victory in the Bowling Green Stakes (Gr.2) on 7/28/18 and a strong second place finish in the Sword Dancer Stakes (Gr.1) on 8/25/18, both at Saratoga.

Randy Hill & Dean Reeves, owners of BC Juvenile Filly Turf participant SPAIN BURG (FR), and inaugural stakeholders in the Pegasus World Cup, will be making their second trip to the Breeders' Cup as partners. Reeves also won the 2013 Breeders Cup Classic with MUCHO MACHO MAN.
