Hello Race Fans
Hello Race Fans,
Greetings from Saratoga Springs, NY -- where the horses love the cool nights and the race fans love the hot racing. There have been a lot of changes since the last update so here we go:
BREAKING LUCKY had a solid breeze last Tuesday at Woodbine covering 5f in an easy 59.2. Trainer Reade Baker was pleased with the workout and Lucky will ship to Saratoga on August 1st for his next start which will be the Grade 1 WHITNEY STAKES on August 5th. This race will be broadcast live on Saturday August 5th at 5 pm on NBC.
CLASSIC ROCK is in Florida and has been given a little break from training but should be back in action soon.
Go Gone Gone, Take a Stroll, Valiant Princess and Diamond Earring all raced last week and we had two solid 2nd Place finishes. Diamond Earring was claimed and we wish her the best going forward
We have had several horses retire or sold in the past several months so we wish I'm Majestic,
Goodzapper, Mare Irish Dancer, Violent Wave, and Ours Again much success in there next steps.
Hoppin Mad had a nice work at Gulfstream Park last week and he is close to being ready to race.
We have several 2 year olds: Prive', Sir Suwanee, Pass the Butter, and My Good Man under trainer Kathy Ritvo's care in Florida. All are progressing very well.
SPAIN BURG had her first race back since last year’s Breeder's Cup and she ran a solid race finishing 5th but only beaten a length and half. Spain Burg is in France and is trained by Nicolas Clement. She has had some nice works of late and she is on target for a race in Deauville, France on August 27th.
Here is a picture of Dean lookin' at BREAKING LUCKY at his home at Woodbine.
That's it for the moment. There are exciting new deals in the works so stay tuned!
Thanks for everyone's support.
See you at the races.
