MUCHO MACHO MAN finished 7th Saturday at The Belmont Stakes. This was a tough race as MMM was bumped hard early in the race and was never able to recover. The race was run on a sloppy track which was not to MMM’s liking. The good news is that MMM returned after the race and so far this week is in great shape. MMM will be given some time off and we will decide later what race may be next for him. I want to thank Ramon Dominquez for a good safe ride on MMM and we look forward to continued rides on MMM by Ramon.
We also want to thank Kathy Ritvo, Marcellino, Tio, and Gilbert for their efforts thru all of the Triple Crown races. What an accomplishment by trainer and horse to be one of only 3 horses to run all three of the Triple Crown races.
The past months brought a lot of fun and excitement and we have memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
I want to say thanks to my partners at Dream Team Racing. This has been a great partnership and I thank everyone for their support along this wonderful ride.
And, To all of MMM fans, thank you, thank you. You are all simply the best fans an owner, trainer and horse could have. You have been with us all the way whether we finished 1st or 7th and we greatly appreciate your kinds words of encouragement along the way.
And to the Reeves family, thanks for getting on board with us for this ride. It was so special to have all of our family with Patti and I during this run. These are times that we may never see again and to know that you where all behind us every step of the way made this so meaningful and special.
This experience has enabled Patti and I to meet so many new people. Some of those wonderful people where the writers and photographers covering the races. They were very kind to us, Kathy and MMM in their articles and we appreciate their fine coverage of our sport.
So Patti and I say, “Thanks a Million” and let’s get ready for the second half of this year as Mucho Macho Man continues his run to greatness.
